I’ve received a copy of Eliza’s death certificate today, and not only does it confirm her age at the time of her death (54), and the date (4/12/1962), there is also a bonus of her last registered address: Hillview Avenue, Newtonabbey, Belfast BT36. Below is a googlemap of the street (I think it’s the house with cream walls and dark brown windows and door).
It’s great to have these details, which I will now check with Uncle Harold, and possibly Uncle Donald, who hopefully can verify them.
I’m pleased to report that we now have cousin Debbie and her children’s full names and dates of birth on the descendant’s chart, as well as Darren’s full details; see them here – with many thanks to Debbie!
Updated Descendant’s Chart:
Just a quick note to say that I have updated the descendant list chart with Uncle Ken’s details, and the names of his grandchildren from his son Darren and his daughter Debbie.
Pictures of Uncle Ken hopefully to follow shortly.

It is with great sadness that I pass on news of the loss of another Jamison – my uncle Kenneth (Ken), born 5/10/1941 in Annahilt, County Down, died 29/12/2010 in Mill Hill, London.
Ken was my father’s brother, and although we didn’t have too much contact with him, it is with a great sense of loss that we mark his passing.
I attended his funeral together with the family of my father’s other brother, my Uncle Harold. It was sad to think that Harold may be the last Jamison of his generation left now, as we have lost touch with the last two of his sisters.
Ken “the Crack” (for his great sense of humour and his tall, funny tales) Jamison.
5/10/1941 – 29/12/2010.

The home and gallery pages have been updated with a beautiful picture of my paternal gradmother, Eliza McCurdy Purcell – we had no pictures of our grandmother at all, so this is a wonderful addition.
Many thanks to Colin and Irene for providing a copy, and lots of fantastic and new family history, including a wonderful picture of my great grandmother, Jane Purcell. Thank you so much for introducing us to newly discovered relatives.
